Saturday - January 26, 2008Monday - January 14, 200845 secondsThe first episode of of the little project that I've been doing is done. I'm going to pitch it around as part of a series before putting it on the internets. Yeehaw. Oh, and my GoM post was featured on the Channel Frederator blog. Thanks. Friday - August 18, 2006process abscess. So yet again, another project is on hold.
Hindemith, this time.
I made the fortunate mistake of attending Nicktoons Creator Day at Nick studios, where I serendipitously saw Phil, Carl and Rob from Animax. There were some crazy films, some hilarious films, and some downright inspiring films. And right in the middle of one particularly good one, I had an idea for another film. This one's even simpler than Hindemith: it has only one camera angle and barely any backgrounds. It's called "To Do:", and the backgrounds are made entirely of postits. I ended up scribbling ideas down for half an hour while other people's films played. Sorry! I also met Eric Homan of Frederator fame during the party, and he was gracious enough to agree to take a pitch some time in the indeterminate future. Which brings these two pages into play. One's a character sketch, process intact. It took about 4 pages of doodles to get here. The other is the indecipherable thumbnails for the boards, which hopefully will go quickly once the thumbnailing process is done. This might be a 3 minute short, it might be 7 minutes; we'll see how the process goes. Hindemith might hit the pitchboard as well, depending on how fast "To Do:" goes. Also, "Women are Crazy" is in animatic form and set to a Django piece which (thank Jung's Synchronicity) works perfectly. That's gonna hit the pitchboard soon too. w00t. I'm sooooo buying this and this. Sunday - July 23, 2006Sunday - July 23, 2006On film"If the first scene doesn't give you a hardon,

Here's the
antagonist.
I'm playing around with the colors in Painter. These aren't final whatsoever. Friday - February 17, 2006climing up the wallsx2! I got an email from Melissa at CF, and she said Mr. Seibert was actually interested in putting "emerge" into a future episode. I'm suprised, but superglad he/she/they dig/digs/grooves/cooks/electric slides with it. A short one line rant: If you are a Line Producer, please do not give out tests as "consolation prizes" for which there are no spots open. Wednesday - February 08, 2006First Kiss on Channel FrederatorHey, thanks Channel Frederator! Glad you enjoyed the flick. I hope to make another film that'll make it! Just random news bits: - I'm Storyboard testing for Billy & Mandy right now. The test kicks so much ass. - Women are Crazy is looking like a real possibility to actually make it to film. It'll be nice to animate again. - B. Chang's Creating Comics class is really taking my compositions/storytelling up a notch. Real world application, not so artsy-fartsy. - I'm sitting in on a Story class at CalArts, and doing the assignments. Rock on. - Still looking for a gig. - The composer for First Kiss should be attempting a 500lb deadlift sometime this or next month. Wish him luck! Sunday - January 08, 2006womenNPR's Lakshmi Singh, I love you and want to
make sweaty love to you.
When you discuss the recent developments in the medical history of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, I want to gently carees your [imagined] bosoms. When you seductively slither sweet stories of Swedish Suicide rates and Gross National Products of third-world countries, I get wobbly all in the netherregions. And when you sign off from your regularly scheduled 10-mintute newsbreaks in the middle of Car Talk, my heart sinks a couple inches deeper into the putrid pluff mud that is my lonliness. How I wish you would return all my love. Wednesday - December 21, 2005Friday - November 25, 2005kilbasa/mufasaMore images. Working
it.
Not sure yet which approach to use. I adore the risk and immediacy of watercolor, but is Photoshop working out better? Still working it. Tuesday - November 22, 2005Friday - August 12, 2005Wednesday - August 03, 2005Wednesday - May 04, 2005Friday - January 14, 2005 |
