process abscess.

So yet again, another project is on hold. Hindemith, this time.

I made the fortunate mistake of attending Nicktoons Creator Day at Nick studios, where I serendipitously saw Phil, Carl and Rob from Animax. There were some crazy films, some hilarious films, and some downright inspiring films.

And right in the middle of one particularly good one, I had an idea for another film. This one's even simpler than Hindemith: it has only one camera angle and barely any backgrounds. It's called "To Do:", and the backgrounds are made entirely of postits. I ended up scribbling ideas down for half an hour while other people's films played. Sorry!

I also met Eric Homan of Frederator fame during the party, and he was gracious enough to agree to take a pitch some time in the indeterminate future. Which brings these two pages into play.

One's a character sketch, process intact. It took about 4 pages of doodles to get here. The other is the indecipherable thumbnails for the boards, which hopefully will go quickly once the thumbnailing process is done. This might be a 3 minute short, it might be 7 minutes; we'll see how the process goes.

Hindemith might hit the pitchboard as well, depending on how fast "To Do:" goes. Also, "Women are Crazy" is in animatic form and set to a Django piece which (thank Jung's Synchronicity) works perfectly. That's gonna hit the pitchboard soon too.

w00t.

I'm sooooo buying this and this.
